I (@MaruGryph) have rented a vacation home on Lake Biwa ahead of OFFF for people to chill. It's located in Takashima on the North Coast of Lake Biwa
How Would I Get There?
The house is a 30 minute walk from Makino Station in Shiga Prefecture. This is about 1h30 from Osaka by train. Please check train schedules, this is a rural station where not every train stops.I’m going to try to rent a car there for doing groceries and the like, and can try to come by and help with luggage if needed, but can't ferry everyone.I will try to arrive shortly after the 3pm checkin time on Wednesday. Please arrive after that. Folks are also welcome to come for Thursday night only.
What Will It Cost?
I am covering the cost of the rental myself. However the rental charges an additional per guest fee, so I'm asking folks chip in $150 USD to cover that and some of the cost of buying food.
What Will We Eat?
I will get some groceries and try to grill up food for dinner. You might be forced to help cook dinner depending on how many people there are.Bring some snacks if you can, there's also a 7/11 a 10 minute walk away so we won't go hungry.
Where Will We Sleep?
Sleeping is traditional Japanese style (futons on tatami mats). As of now I am limiting this to 10 people total to keep things from getting too crowded, please confirm you want to go with me as soon as you can to take a slot and I will explicitly confirm.
Assorted Rules
Please be respectful of the house, and of our neighbors. It is a small village, our house is not super isolated
As per local rules, swimming in the lake is only allowed until dusk
This is not an explicitly horny event, if folks want to get horny please only do so so long as everyone is comfortable
Bedding is provided, pajamas, etc are not
